| The
artist: Katharina Micada enjoyed a global musical education at the college of music Freiburg/Germany in singing and piano. After several years of musical activity she chose to take up sawing because it is a solid craftmanship. Since that time, she is sawing nearly everywhere: in concert-halls, at variety-shows, opera performances, even open air. Well-known melodies, opera-tunes, modern classical music, improvisational music, original compositions, ... Places, where she enjoys playing are: Philharmonie, Wintergarten-Varieté, Konzerthaus, Sophiensäle, Admiralspalast, Deutsche Oper and Grüner Salon in Berlin, Schmidt-Theater Hamburg, Autostadt Wolfsburg. Furthermore she has been playing in Stuttgart, Cologne, Munich, Nizza, Vienna, Graz, London, Ireland, Iceland, Poland, Spain and in the USA. In 2011 she won the Musical Saw World Championship (placed second). |
